  1. A receipt is billed once, when it is retained.Verifying it — on /verify, on the receipt page, in the CLI, by your auditor — is never metered.
  2. Past the allotment, retention keeps working.A paid plan bills the overage per 1,000 receipts on the same invoice ; Free is asked to choose a plan before the period ends. Nothing is cut off, no receipt is dropped.
